In the Cherokee Nation June legislative session, the districts were changed. The impact for Tulsa, Sperry, and Owasso is that it was taken out of its current district 13 which was shared with Catoosa, a larger portion of Owasso, and Collinsville, and was downsized and designated as District 5. The changes go into effect after the June 2025 election, where the Tribal Council representative will be chosen by the vote of the people.
